Scrolling through social media, you must have come across the reels of Senegalese YouTuber and content creator Khabane Lem, better known as Khabi Lange. He is an internet celebrity who is famous for posting life hack videos in which he simply navigates overly complex scenarios, but without uttering a single word. In an exclusive with Fortune, Khabi’s manager, Alessandro Riggio, revealed that the 22-year-old is on track to earn $10 million this year thanks to TikTok fame and subsequent endorsement deals.
He is known for his famous “Khabi trick”. Interestingly, the 22-year-old content creator has 200 million followers on social media. Khabi has made headlines all over the world.
In addition, Khabi was recently paid $450,000 by Hugo Boss to walk the ramp at his Milan Fashion Week show. He was asked to post a clip of the walk on his TikTok account. Fortune further revealed that he earned $750,000 from a major Hollywood studio for a TikTok video.
According to the Independent, Khabi’s manager said he was not motivated by money. “He was poor, and he doesn’t know how much he has in the bank. He doesn’t care..,” said Riggio. However, Khabi cut himself in and said, “I like to make people laugh. I love my family. I love my company.”
Khabi had earlier hit the headlines when he was finally seen speaking on camera. This happened when Tiktok’s most followed content creator based in Chivaso, Italy was interviewed by content creator Nas Daily. In the video, it was revealed that Khabi had moved from Senegal to Italy to live a better life with his family. Before gaining worldwide fame, Khabi was a factory worker. During the interview, when Nas asked Khabi what makes his videos different, the content creator replied that his videos are “simple and easy”.
Furthermore, cryptocurrency exchange Binance has partnered with Khabi as their global brand ambassador. As per the agreement, Khabi will work to increase awareness and adoption of Web3. Meanwhile, the world’s leading blockchain ecosystem will also create a non-fungible token (NFT) collection in the name of Khabi.
