According to his family members, there will be a prayer meeting at the ISKCON temple in Juhu. It is scheduled from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM.
Raju Srivastava passed away on September 21 at the age of 58. He was on life support since he was admitted to the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in New Delhi on August 10 following a heart attack.
Raju Srivastava was in the entertainment industry since the 1980s and rose to fame after participating in the first season of the reality stand-up comedy show ‘The Great Indian Laughter Challenge’ in 2005.
He also came into politics to serve the country. He forayed into politics from the Samajwadi Party (where he was also nominated as the Lok Sabha candidate from Kanpur) in 2014, but later the same year joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) within a span of a few days.
Several national leaders and celebrities including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, BJP National President JP Nadda and Delhi Chief Minister expressed their condolences to the family of Raju Srivastava.
