Long flu: Long after COVID, ‘long flu’ may also be possible, finds study

Both Long COVID and Long Flu are related health issues that not only need attention, but can have significant health impacts. While it has long been known about the consequences and causative effects of COVID, or post-Covid syndrome, the debilitating and prolonged symptoms of the flu can also be somehow similar.

For example, anecdotal evidence has shown that prolonged COVID and prolonged flu-like symptoms cause fairly similar symptoms, including anxiety, breathlessness, brain fog, persistent cough or fever, fatigue, and muscle aches. However, the more frequent symptoms have so far been largely linked to a COVID infection history.

Furthermore, while there is a definite link to severity, researchers are still exploring whether there is a clear relationship between severity and longer occurrence of symptoms in flu infection.
