The level of air pollution increases with winter as all the dense air settles with dust as well as other pollutants. Our heart is directly affected by air pollution, and various pollutants in the air can be the cause of heart diseases in many individuals. Even a slight negligence can lead to serious consequences. Hence, it is important for people suffering from heart disease to be extra cautious during winters.
Cardiologist Dr. Vanita Arora of Indraprastha Apollo Hospital, New Delhi says that air pollution is like smoking cigars, which can badly affect our heart and lungs.
