The Internet Showed Lots of Love for the Animal Shelter
Animal rescuers in Connecticut, US, had to enlist the help of a utility company worker to save a seagull that got tangled in power lines.
A Facebook post from Dan Cosgrove Animal Shelters in Connecticut, US, came as a shock to Mike, a worker at energy distribution company Eversource. Mike climbed onto a bucket truck to rescue the bird. The video of bird rescue is going viral on the internet.
In the post, the animal shelter applauded Mike’s efforts and wrote, “We want to congratulate Mike of EverSource CT who came out to help us today with a seagull stuck in a starry call. Many thanks to Mike.” were kind. This bird spoke to him so softly that he freed his leg.”

The post further read, “Unfortunately it looks like this bird’s leg is too damaged to be saved but at least it won’t be hanging upside down overnight.” The animal shelter thanked the Branford Fire Department for “coming out and always assisting with unusual animal calls.”
The internet showed lots of love for the animal shelter and the man who climbed onto the bucket truck to save the bird. One user wrote, “What a shame for this bird, but I’m grateful it was resolved and hopefully it has a positive outcome.”
Another user commented, “Love a lineman/line lady, they are the best! Always putting the public first when doing dangerous work night or day during all kinds of weather!”
