10-day photo exhibition on achievements of Tamil Nadu government begins in Coimbatore

The 10-day photo exhibition, organized by various government departments, was inaugurated by District Collector GS Sameeran along with Coimbatore City Municipal Corporation M. Prathap and City Police Commissioner V. Balakrishnan at VOC Park in Coimbatore on Friday.

The exhibition will be open from 5 pm to 9 pm and will run till January 22. The theme of the exhibition is based on “Dreams and hard work of Tamils” and showcases the achievements and projects of the state government such as free breakfast scheme, Pudhumai Pen plan, Namma Uru Superu, innuyar kappom plan, Illam Thedi Kalvi etc., according to a release.

In addition, as part of the Women and Child Welfare and Nutritious Food Program under the Social Welfare Department, food stalls offering healthy multigrain items have been set up by self-help groups at the venue.

On the occasion of inauguration, Deputy Mayor R.K. Vetriselvan, District Revenue Officer Leela Alex, Central Zone President Meena Logu and several district officials were present.
