The Indian Railways will soon run a special train for pilgrims, connecting Ayodhya in Uttar Pradesh with Janakpur in neighboring Nepal. The route – using your Bharat Gaurav Deluxe AC Tourist Train – will include visits to Nandigram, Sitamarhi, Kashi and Prayagraj. Preparations are on to start the route from February 17 this year.
The seven-day trip will include hotel stays in Janakpur and Varanasi (one night each) with day stops in Ayodhya, Sitamarhi and Prayagraj. The route will include train and bus travel, with all-inclusive prices starting from Rs. 39,775/- per person.
The train has four First AC coaches, two Second AC coaches, a well-equipped Pantry Car and two Rail Restaurants. It can carry 156 tourists and has CCTV cameras and security guards for each coach. It is equipped with an infotainment system for the entire train. The coaches in the deluxe vehicle also have shower cubicles, sensor based washroom function and foot massagers.
According to an official release of the Indian Railways, the journey of the Bharat Gaurav tourist train will start from the birthplace of Lord Ram, wherein tourists will visit Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Temple and Hanuman Temple as well as Bharat Mandir in Nandigram.
“After Ayodhya, the train will go to Sitamarhi Railway Station in Bihar and tourists will travel by bus to Janakpur in Nepal which is 70 km away from Sitamarhi Railway Station. During their stay in Janakpur, tourists can visit Ram Janaki Temple, Sita Ram Wedding Mandap and Dhanush Dham,” the Ministry of Railways said in a press release.
After this the tourists will return to Sitamarhi and visit Janaki Temple in Sitamarhi and Punaura Dham. The train will then proceed on the overnight journey to Varanasi. While in Kashi tourists will visit Sarnath, Kashi Vishwanath Temple and Corridor, Tulsi Temple and Sankat Mochan Hanuman Temple.
“Tourists will travel from Varanasi to Prayagraj by bus and visit Sangam, Shankar Vimana Mandapam, Hanuman Temple and Bharadwaj Ashram. After Prayagraj, the train will return to Delhi on the seventh day of their journey. The guests will travel approximately 2500 kms. This tour,” it couple.
IRCTC has tied up with Paytm and Razorpay payment gateways to provide EMI payment option for passengers. Users can pay in EMIs of 3, 6, 9, 12, 18 or 24 months through debit or credit cards.
