Inside the well the cat and the leopard were filmed facing each other.
A video released by news agency ANI has created panic on social media. The video shows a cat facing a leopard while two animals were trapped inside a well. The video is from Nashik, Maharashtra. According to Deputy Conservator of Forests (West, Nashik Division) Pankaj Garg, the leopard fell into the well while chasing the cat. In the video, we initially see the leopard charging at the cat. Then we also see both the animals playing with each other. In a later tweet, we learn that both the leopard and the cat were “safely rescued and released by the forest department”.

On Monday, an official said that the two kittens were safely rescued two hours later by the forest department personnel, according to news agency PTI.
He said the incident took place at Kankori village in Sinnar taluka, where the leopard may have fallen into the well while chasing the cat late on Saturday night.
The forest department, with the help of a crane, took both the animals out safely from a 25 to 30 feet deep well late Sunday evening, the official said.
He said the leopard, which did not harm the cat during the face-off, was later released in its natural habitat.
Until reports of the animal being rescued were published, most users wanted to know what happened to the cat. The short video gave little. But curious users had a way of asking for more information.
A user named Pooja Singh compared the post to a “keep going” type of daily soap that left her “curious to know about the heck”.
It will be like a daily soap to continue….????

Another user, Satish Menon, lauded the cat’s courage to stay grounded. The user jokingly wrote, “The big animal got a little confused seeing its own copy in the smaller variant.”
The cat stood her ground boldly and the big animal was a little confused seeing a copy of itself in a smaller version.

Users soon remembered the Hindi proverb in which cats were described as the aunts (aunts) of all big cats. One user, Honest Human, wrote, “I was worried about the leopard, not the cat.”
In Hindi the cat is called Sher Ki Mausi (Aunty)…. I was worried about the leopard, not the cat. At the same time, the forest officer informed about the safety of the leopard. ????

A user took a hilarious taunt at the video and wrote a fictional monologue from the point of view of the leopard. The user tweeted, “Be like a leopard chill brother, it’s just a prank, see a camera.”

However, one user responded with concern, and speculated that the leopard may have displayed signs of pseudomaternity rather than attacking the cat.
