Enthusiasm at its peak for Hockey Men’s World Cup in Rourkela, all tickets sold out

Tickets for all matches of FIH Odisha Hockey Men’s World Cup 2023 in Rourkela sold out within a week

As the clock ticks down for the FIH Odisha Hockey Men’s World Cup 2023 Bhubaneswar-Rourkela, the excitement and enthusiasm among the hockey fans across the globe has already reached its peak.

Starting on January 13, 2023, the tournament will see 16 elite hockey teams from across the world in action.

Eager to witness exciting world hockey action in Rourkela for the first time, fans gathered in large numbers outside the newly built Birsa Munda Hockey Stadium since the opening of the box office on December 19 to buy tickets. And within a week all the tickets for the match in Rourkela were sold out.

Rourkela’s Birsa Munda Hockey Stadium, which has a seating capacity of over 20,000, will see a total of 20 matches. Meanwhile, Bhubaneswar’s iconic Kalinga Hockey Stadium, which has a seating capacity of over 15,000, will host 24 matches, including cross-overs, quarter-finals, semi-finals and the FIH Odisha Hockey Men’s World Cup 2023 final.

Placed in Pool D along with Spain, the Indian men’s hockey team will also begin their campaign against Spain on January 13 in Rourkela.

After their match against Spain on the first day of the competition, India They will play England in Rourkela on January 15, followed by their final group game against Wales in Bhubaneswar on January 19.

The 16 teams participating in the tournament are Australia, Belgium, Netherlands, India, Argentina, Germany, New Zealand, England, France, Korea, Malaysia, Spain, South Africa, Japan, Chile and Wales.
