Akanksha Dubey death case: In the latest development in Bhojpuri actress Akanksha Dubey’s suicide case, Varanasi police has arrested singer Samar Singh from Ghaziabad. He has been charged with abetment to suicide and is being sought. Akanksha Dubey was found dead on March 26 inside a hotel room in Varanasi’s Sarnath area. He was found hanging from the ceiling fan with a piece of cloth and it was reported that he had committed suicide.
Reports claimed that Akanksha Dubey and Samar Singh were in a live-in relationship. While Singh has been arrested, the search is on for another accused in the case, Sanjay Singh. The Ghaziabad SP told that a team from Banaras arrested Samar Singh at 12 o’clock in the night. Samar Singh was hiding in a society in Nandgram police station area. A case has been registered under 306. At present he has been taken into custody.
On Thursday, the court had issued non-bailable warrants against singers Samar Singh and Sanjay Singh on charges of inciting violence. Earlier, advocate Shashank Shekhar Tripathi has submitted a letter to the Chief Minister. Yogi Adityanath Regarding the demand, the 25-year-old actress was murdered by some people in the hotel room instead of suicide.
Tripathi, who took up the case of the victim’s mother Madhu Dubey, has raised several points in a letter to the Chief Minister, pointing to the suspicion over the death. He also alleged that Akansha’s body was “forcibly cremated” despite her mother’s insistence that the last rites be performed only after the post-mortem report is out.
Meanwhile, Akanksha Dubey grabbed headlines about a month ago when she took to social media to reveal her relationship on Valentine’s Day. She had posted her pictures with co-star Samar Singh. Sharing the pictures, he wrote, “Happy Valentine’s Day.”
Akanksha Dubey made her debut with the film Meri Jung Mera Faisla and has since appeared in films such as Mujhse Shaadi Karogi (Bhojpuri), Veero Ke Veer, Fighter King, Kasam Padhan Karne Ke 2 and others.
