ICSE, ISC Term I Exam 2021: Important information for candidates released by CISCE

The Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations, CISCE has released important instructions for the candidates for the ICSE, ISC Term I Exam 2021, which will be conducting the Term 1 exam in November-December. All detailed guidelines cisce.org . are available on

Instructions to the candidates:

  1. Every candidate registered and confirmed for ICSE Year 2022 exam must appear for: Semester 1 exam to be held in November/December 2021 and Semester 2 exam to be held in March/April 2022.
  2. It is mandatory for a candidate to appear in both these exams to qualify for the award of certification for the ICSE year 2022 exam.
  3. 2. The candidates will have to offer the same number of subjects for both the Semester 1 and Semester 2 examinations.
  4. Candidates should collect their admit cards from their respective heads of schools before these exams.
  5. Candidates will have to sit in the examination hall/ hall five minutes before the scheduled time for the commencement of the examination in the subject.
  6. If any examination paper, for which the candidate has not entered, is handed over to him/her, he/she should immediately bring it to the notice of the supervising examiner.
  7. The candidate should read carefully all the general instructions that may be given at the top of a paper, for example, instructions regarding the number of questions to be attempted, etc.
  8. Candidates are advised to answer only the number of questions mentioned in the question paper-cum-answer sheet.
  9. On the top-sheet of the question paper-cum-answer sheet, candidates have to put their signatures in the space provided for the purpose.
  10. Candidates should clearly write their Unique ID (Unique Identification Number) and Index Number on the top-sheet of the Question Paper-cum-Answer Booklet in the space provided. All entries in the question paper-cum-answer booklet should be made with black/blue ink pen only.
  11. Candidates are advised not to write or write anywhere else on the top-sheet of the question paper-cum-answer sheet. 12
  12. In addition to the time mentioned in the timetable for writing the paper, candidates will be given 10 minutes to read the question.
  13. Candidates are advised to read the questions carefully before selecting the answer from the given multiple options. 13. Candidates should plan their work to use their time wisely.
  14. The candidate arriving late at the center will have to give satisfactory explanation and reason to the invigilator examiner. Except in exceptional circumstances, the paper will not be given to any candidate who is late by more than half an hour. Complete punctuality is essential. Candidates are not allowed to leave the examination hall before the end of the paper
  15. Computer generated mark sheet will be issued to the candidates appearing for the exam. This mark table will only indicate the marks obtained by the candidates in each subject/paper taken by them for the Semester 1 examination. The overall result ie – Passing Certificate Provided / Passing Certificate Not Provided / Eligible for Compartment Examination will be declared only after the completion of Semester 2 Examination.
