South African cricketer and Royal Challengers Bangalore player Abraham Benjamin de Villiers announced his retirement on Friday. all forms of cricket, just after AB de Villiers Posted his decision on Twitter, Indian cricketer and captain of RCB Virat Kohli Wrote an emotional message for the legend. Virat’s wife Anushka also reacted to the news and shared a heartfelt post on her Instagram story. Anushka wrote, ‘I am privileged to have known and seen one of the greatest men and cricketers of all time. Wishing you, Danielle and the kids the best of luck in life always. You guys are everything beautiful and worthy of so much, it is truly heartwarming. The South African giants joined RCB in 2011. Kohli took to Twitter to pay tribute to his ‘brother’ AB de Villiers and wrote, “The best player of our time and the most inspirational person I have met, you can be very proud. What have you done and what have you given to RCB my brother. Our bond is beyond play and always will be. It hurts my heart but I know you have made the best decision as always for yourself and your family. I love you.’ Apart from posting the announcement on Twitter with ‘Thank you’ written in Hindi, English and Afrikaans, de Villiers also shared a video message for fans via RCB’s Twitter handle, which said, ‘I am going to become one. Am. RCBian for a lifetime. Everyone has become a family to me in the RCB set-up. People come and go, but the feeling and love that RCB have for each other will always be there. I am half Indian now and I am proud of it.
