Mumbai on Saturday reported 214 new coronavirus positive cases and four deaths, taking the toll to 7,62,399 and 16,326, a civic official said.
Mumbai: On Saturday, 214 new corona virus positive cases were reported in Mumbai and four people died, taking the number of infected to 7,62,399 and the death toll to 16,326.
This was the second consecutive day that more than 200 cases were reported in the city.
The official said that with the discharge of 296 people, the number of recoveries increased to 7,41,253, which is 97% of the number of infections, leaving Mumbai with 2,254 active cases.
Data from the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation shows that the city’s caseload doubling time between November 20 and November 26 is 2,711 days and the average growth rate of cases was 0.03%.
With 35,692 samples tested in the last 24 hours, the number of tests conducted in Mumbai rose to 1,23,36,270, it was learned.
The data also shows that Mumbai currently had 16 sealed buildings, but no containment zones since mid-August.
