A special song ‘Sirivanela’ for ‘Shyam Singha Roy’

The last song of lyricist Sirivenela Sitaram Sastri to be featured in the Telugu film ‘Shyam Singha Roy’ was celebrated

The last song written by noted lyricist and Padma Shri awardee ‘Sirivenela’ Sitaram Sastri, who passed away recently, will be seen in a soon-to-be-released Telugu film Shyam Singha Roy, The film, directed by Rahul Sankrityan, features this melodious song to explore the romance between the characters played by actors Nani and Sai Pallavi.

Recently, Rahul and Nani released a video detailing how the lyricist worked on the song despite his health constraints. Rahul said in the video, “On November 3, ‘Sirivenela’ Garu told me that he could not complete the song due to his health condition. However, we requested him to write. The next morning, on the day of Deepawali, I woke up from his phone and he asked me to write ‘Pallavi’. In a row her name was Sirivanella. When asked, he laughed and said that this could be his last song. Ironically, his last rites were performed on the same day the song was recorded.

‘Sirivanella’ is sung by Anurag Kulkarni and music is given by Mickey J. Meyer. The film will also feature another song penned by the late lyricist.

Shyam Singha Roy It also stars Kriti Shetty, Madonna Sebastian, Rahul Ravindran, Murali Sharma, Abhinav Gomatam, Jisshu Sen Gupta and Leela Samson. The film is scheduled to release in theaters on December 24.
