Aam Aadmi Party MLA Raj Kumar Anand was on Thursday sworn in as a minister in the Delhi government by Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena at a function at the Raj Niwas.
Anand took oath in the presence of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and Chief Secretary Naresh Kumar.
“Oath of office and secrecy to Raj Kumar Anand as Minister in GNCTD. I wish him all the best and hope that he will work for the betterment of Delhi and its people.
After the resignation of Rajendra Pal Gautam, Kejriwal included Patel Nagar MLA in his council of ministers.
Gautam, who held the charge of social welfare minister, had resigned from the post last month after being embroiled in a controversy over his appearance at a religious conversion event.
