AAP will fight with full force in the next assembly elections of Jammu and Kashmir

The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Monday announced that it will contest the next assembly elections in Jammu and Kashmir “with full force”. AAP also announced union territory and provincial level units of the party. The Arvind Kejriwal-led party also announced that it would start its election campaign from 1 November 2022.

AAP has also nominated former minister Harsh Dev Singh as the chairman of the state coordination committee. Earlier, while announcing the district and block level units, AAP had said that the swearing-in of all the nominated office bearers would be held on October 28 and 29.

Harsh Dev Singh, former president of the National Panthers Party, who joined AAP in May, was named chairman of the AAP Jammu and Kashmir State Coordination Committee. District Development Council (DDC) members Mehraj Malik and Ghulam Mustafa Khan were named co-chairs of the committee.

A spokesperson of the party said that the Jammu and Kashmir State Organization Nirman Samiti will be headed by Om Prakash Khajuria. DDC member Mehraj Malik will be the co-chairman of the committee.

According to AAP, Nasser Ali Kochak will head the Jammu and Kashmir State Political Strategy and Policy Committee as chairman. S Surendra Singh Shengari will be the co-chairman.

The Jammu and Kashmir Declaration Drafting Committee will be headed by S Deep Singh and Farooq Ahmed Agha has been appointed as the co-chairman of the committee.

AAP leader Munish Kaushik said, “The oath ceremony of all the newly appointed presidents will be held in Jammu on October 28 and in Kashmir on October 29.”
