Abans Holdings appoints ex-SEBI ED Nagpal as independent director

Abans Holdings on Wednesday announced that it has appointed PK Nagpal as a non-executive and independent director in the company.

PK Nagpal retired from market regulator Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) as Executive Director. He was involved in policy formulation and implementation of registration, supervision and inspection of market intermediaries and regulations of stock exchanges.

He was also involved in investigations of market manipulation and insider trading, takeovers, IPOs, compliance with listing requirements, corporate governance and quasi-judicial functions.

PK Nagpal has served as the chair of the International Organization of Securities Commissions (IOSCO) committees on issuer accounting, auditing and disclosure, which comprises 33 countries.

Abans Holdings Ltd, a globally diversified financial services organization, reported a consolidated revenue 591.17 crore, showing an annual growth of 21.97 per cent over the previous year.

Abans Holding’s asset management and brokerage business reports consolidated profit before tax (PBT) in Q3FY23 results 8.74 crore (for the nine-month period April-Dec’22), which translates to a significant annual growth of 148.78 per cent.

The company’s stock was trading down by 1.18 per cent. 239 on BSE.
