The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) said that a serving police officer of the rank of Deputy Superintendent of Police has been arrested for taking bribe.
According to the ACB, officer Gyara Jagan was former DSP, Enforcement, Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority and was awaiting the new posting. He allegedly demanded a bribe of ₹4 lakh and accepted ₹2 lakh.
Another person, identified as Bonella Ramu, an outsourced private security guard posted at HMDA, was also arrested.
The ACB said the accused overlooked the altercation in the apartment in Mallampet village of Dundigal Municipality, which was identified by the complainant as Prajapati Construction’s managing director B Koteswara Rao.
