The Indian arm of Accenture has fired employees who used forged documents and experience letters to get jobs in the firm. It is not clear how many employees were affected.

We have taken action to ensure that our ability to serve our customers will not be impacted.
Accenture further stated that it operates under a ‘strict code of business conduct and maintains zero tolerance for any non-compliance’. “We are continuing to hire and honor existing job offers for qualified candidates,” it added.
The pandemic brought an avalanche of opportunities for tech firms and they were increasingly forced to deploy thousands of people on projects, according to recruitment industry sources.
Leadership Capital CEO BS Murthy said the surge in orders during the pandemic led to hasty recruitment for the industry.
“Most HROs are now busy working on credential checks of COVID recruits,” he said.
