Kanpur: In Farrukhabad district late on Friday night, a police team that went to raid to nab those involved in making illegal liquor has been accused of lynching a person.
The incident happened on Friday night when the police team of Merapur had gone to the Brahmapuri locality of the district to nab the people involved in the illegal liquor business.
On receiving the information, another police team reached the spot and tried to convince the relatives of the deceased, but they created a ruckus and did not allow the police to pick up the dead body and were adamant on calling the District Magistrate and the Superintendent of Police on the spot.
