Actress Gul Panag is known for her work in films and web shows and her love for the automobile. From mountain adventures to motorcycle riding expeditions with Mahindra Scorpio Getaway, he has done it all. The actor has some exciting wheels in his garage with the latest addition being the Jawa Forty Two. But it’s not just another forty-two. This is the Jawa special edition which was recently introduced to commemorate India’s victory in the 1971 war against Pakistan. Gul also revealed that she was in a dilemma choosing between Forty Two and Perak from Java, but ultimately chose the former.

Gul recently shared pictures of her new Jawa 42 on Instagram, the photo was captioned, “And my @jawamotorcycles 42 is here! Finally.
Welcome to the stables. And on the lid of the fuel tank is my name and year of birth. I had a hard time choosing between. #Perak and this. But there is something in #jawa42.”

Panag’s name and birth year – 1979 – are engraved on the fuel tank lid, and we must say, it looks great. It also goes well with Jawa Special Edition in Khaki colour. The bike gets a matte black finish instead of chrome on the headlamp bezel, suspension forks, engine and dual exhaust muffler. The bike also gets a tricolor on the fuel tank with the emblem of the Indian Army.

The Khaki shade was introduced earlier this year as part of the Jawa Special Edition. It also gets tricolor on the fuel tank. The motorcycle shown above is, of course, the Jawa Classic

There is no mechanical change though. The Jawa 42 remains the same borrowing power from the 293 cc single-cylinder engine for 26.9 bhp and 27.02 Nm of peak torque. The motor is mated to a 6-speed gearbox. It gets telescopic front forks, dual shocks at the rear, 280 mm disc brake at the front and 240 mm disc brake at the rear. The motorcycle runs on 18-inch front and 17-inch rear tyres.
