Indian actor Karan Kundrra, known for his adventures in Roadies, recently brought home a new rugged off-roader SUV in the form of Jeep Wrangler Rubicon SUV priced at Rs 60.35 lakh (ex-showroom). The new off-roader SUV suits his adventurous personality with its massive size and tough terrain navigating capabilities. This news was shared on social media by their official social media handle, Going by the looks of it, the new Rubicon has a Sarge Green color which could look like an army truck.
The Rubicon variant of the Jeep Wrangler is one of the best off-roader SUVs, with the capability of this off-roader at par with SUVs like Ford Bronco and Land Rover Defender. Also, lately Bollywood celebrities have been seen leaning more towards SUVs as many are buying SUVs like Audi Q7, Land Rover Defender and Mercedes GLS. The popularity of SUVs is increasing among celebrities as well as other Indians.
Jeep also offers the Wrangler in an additional variant, the Unlimited, which is priced at Rs. 56.35 lakh ex-showroom. Both the versions are powered by a 2.0-litre turbocharged gasoline engine that churns out a maximum output of 268 horsepower and a maximum torque output of 400 Nm. It is mated to an automated transmission with an 8-speed torque converter that sends power to all four wheels.

A tougher version of the Wrangler is the Rubicon model. It is equipped with locking front and rear differentials and Jeep’s Rock-Track full-time 4WD system. Additionally, some electronic self bars may detach during off-roading. It gets gas shock absorbers and heavy-duty performance suspension. Additionally, the alloy wheels are 17 instead of 18 inches in diameter to accommodate the thick side walls. The tire size is 255/75 R17. The Rubicon has brought in improved approach, ramp break-over and departure angles as well as increased ground clearance.
The license plate on Karan’s Wrangler Rubicon reads “K KUNDRRA”. This was apparently done just for the video. Additionally, the actor, who is seen driving the new SUV, looks overjoyed. He claims that the glass area is smaller as compared to his Land Rover Range Rover. According to Karan, the road presence of the Wrangler is very strong. In addition, it is located quite above the ground.
