Actor’s statement about joining politics goes viral amid Kichha Sudeep campaigning for BJP’s news

Kiccha Sudeep is rumored to be campaigning for the BJP in the Karnataka elections.

Kiccha Sudeep is rumored to have joined hands with the BJP in Karnataka, campaigning for them in the upcoming Karnataka elections.

Rumor has it that Kiccha Sudeep is likely to campaign for the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). Karnataka Assembly elections are being held next month. The actor is said to announce his political plan on Wednesday, April 5. While all eyes are on the Kannada actor, his conversation about politics at the CNN-News18 Bengaluru townhall earlier this year has resurfaced and is now going viral.

At that time, the Vikrant Rona actor had grabbed headlines for meeting with Congress leader DK Shivakumar. When asked about the meeting, Kichha Sudeep gave a befitting reply. He said at the townhall, “The first rule of politics is never to discuss your opinion, never to give any hints.”

Hours after the statement, it was reported that Sudeep would announce his political plans at a press conference in the presence of Karnataka Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai. However, it is not clear whether he will extend his support only in the form of campaigning or contest the election as a BJP candidate. Sources close to Sudeep say there is a meeting at the actor’s house today at 10 am with family members to discuss whether he will join the BJP and enter electoral politics or just campaign for the party.

Meanwhile, it is reported that Sudeep has received letters of death threats after his political plans came to the limelight. An FIR was lodged against an unidentified person who allegedly issued a letter threatening to release private videos of the Sandalwood star. Officials said the threat letters were received by Jack Manju, Sudeep’s manager. After it was brought to the attention of the actor, an FIR was lodged at the Puttanahalli police station in Bengaluru.

Sudeep is a Kannada superstar. He made his acting debut in 1997 with the film Thayavva and went on to act in films such as Vaali, Kiccha, Hubli, No. 73, Shanti Niwas, Kiccha Hookah, Eega and more.
