Adani Transmission Limited (ATL), a private sector power transmission company and part of the diversified Adani Group, announced on Friday that they had received Letter of Intent (LOI) For acquisition of Renewable Energy Extraction System under Khavda-Bhuj Transmission Limited, price 1200 crores.
ATL won the bid for securing renewable energy extraction system through Tariff-Based Competitive Bidding (TBCB). The company is set to build, own, operate and maintain the transmission project in Gujarat for a period of 35 years, the press release said.
Adani is set to help extract about 3 GW of renewable energy from Khavda in Gujarat. The project will help shape one of the largest solar and wind farms in the country.
The company’s press release also mentioned that achieving this project would also help them contribute to the Government of India’s quest of achieving electricity for all by 2022.
Anil Sardana, MD & CEO, Adani Transmission Limited said, “This project will be the first project to be implemented among the many transmission projects planned by the Government of India for extraction of renewable energy from the region.”
