An FIR has been registered on the complaint of BJP leader Om Prakash Dhurve, a police officer said on Sunday.

Inspector CK Sirame of Dindori Kotwali police station said, “The FIR has been sent to Parliament House police station in Delhi for action. case was registered against Chieftain Under sections 153 (a) (1) (promoting enmity between different groups) and 505 (statement to public mischief) of the IPC on the complaint of former MP Om Prakash Dhurve.
“Dindori Superintendent of Police Sanjay Singh has transferred the FIR to Delhi Police for observation and investigation,” he said.
Sanjay Singh told PTI on Sunday that since the incident took place in Delhi, the FIR has been sent to Parliament House Police Station for action.
In his complaint, Dhurve claimed that Choudhary’s remarks “hurt” the sentiments of the tribals. Congress leaders have already apologized for the statement, which caused huge uproar inside and outside Parliament.
