Adipurush row: Netizens say dialogues ‘copied’ from Iskcon preachings

Adipurush is doing very well in terms of business and has crossed 340 crore during the first weekend itself, but the controversies around the film are not dying down. The viewers have raised several objections to the film and how it depicted Ramayana. Some organizations like Hindu Sena have also filed PIL in Delhi High Court and claimed that the film mocked Lord Ram, Ramayana, and “our culture.”

Now, a new issue is gaining ground against the film with viewers questioning where the makers spent the claimed 600 crore budget. The infamous dialogue by Lord Hanuman in the film about Ravan is claimed to be copied from a video of a Shree Maan Amogh Lila Prabhu.

Many videos are doing rounds on social media where Shree Maan Amogh Lila Prabhu can be heard saying identical dialogues.‘Ghee kis ka – Raavan ka, kapda kiska – Raavan ka, Aag kis ki – Raavan ki, Jaali kis ki – Raavan ki,’ he said.

The users are claiming that the objectional dialogue delivered by the actor playing Lord Hanuman in Adipurush was copied from this video of Shree Maan Amogh Lila Prabhu. The dialogue which received a lot of flak from viewers said, “Tel tere baap ka. Aag bhi tere baap ki. Toh jalegi bhi tere baap ki.”

The makers of Adipurush are receiving a lot of backlash for such “objectionable” and “low-level” content in the film. The dialogue writer of the film Manoj Muntashir has said that he is ready to revise the dialogue of the film if people want that.

Manoj Muntashir was provided security by the Mumbai Police after he cited a threat to his life.

Kathmandu and Pokhara cities of Nepal have ordered a ban on all Indian films after the politicians of the country objected to the dialogues of the film. The leaders said that Adipurush has depicted Sita as the “daughter of India” while in reality, she is the “daughter of Nepal”.
