Aditya Birla Sun Life AMC declares final dividend, net profit and earnings struggle in fourth quarter

Aditya Birla Sun Life AMC is a Mid-Cap company having a market cap of Rs. 9,743.04 during Friday’s closing. The company has declared a final dividend for its shareholders despite weak fourth quarter earnings.

The board of directors has “recommended a final dividend”. 5.25 per equity share of the Company for the financial year ending March 31, 2023, subject to the approval of the shareholders at the forthcoming Annual General Meeting (‘AGM’). If approved by the shareholders, the final dividend will be paid within thirty days from the conclusion of the AGM. “The record date, for the purpose of determining the shareholders eligible to receive the dividend, will be intimated in due course,” Aditya Birla Sun Life AMC said in a stock exchange filing.

The company has reported a total income of Rs 329.16 crore during the period ended March 31, 2023, as compared to Rs 347.05 crore during the period ended March 31, 2022, a decrease of 5.15%. The company posted a net profit of 135.56 Cr, down 14.48% from during Q4FY23 158.51 Cr in Q4FY22 and its EPS stood at 4.69 during the quarter under review, down from 14.57% 5.49 was recorded during the year-ago quarter.

For the quarter ended March 31, 2023, the company’s total QAAUM, including alternative assets, stood at Rs. 2,862 Billion, and the QAAUM of Aditya Birla Sun Life AMC Mutual Fund was Rs. 2,752 billion. For the quarter ended March 31, 2023, Aditya Birla Sun Life AMC Ltd (ABSLAMC) maintained 8.05 million folios. About 0.7 million new folios were added in FY23, and in the March 2023 quarter Rs. 10.03 billion in monthly systematic inflows (including STPs) with 3.29 million accounts. For Q4 FY23, the company added around 2,65,000 new SIPs (including STP).

Shares of Aditya Birla Sun Life AMC closed on BSE on Friday 338.30 each level, up 0.33% from previous close 337.20. The stock touched a 52-week high at 533.70 (29/04/2022) and 52-week low 307.90 on (28/03/2023).
