Adityanath invites Ajit Singh to slam SP in final Phase I polling program

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Tuesday cited former Rashtriya Lok Dal supremo Ajit Singh’s remarks to criticize the Samajwadi Party over the law and order situation in Uttar Pradesh as he campaigned for the first phase of the state assembly elections in Jewar. had concluded. Addressing a crowd, the BJP leader said while the western part of the state was earlier infamous for its law and order situation, chaos prevailed in the region, but that has changed since the saffron came to power in 2017.

Campaigning for 58 assembly constituencies in 11 districts of western UP, which go to polls on February 10, officially ended at 6 pm on Tuesday. Adityanath, while campaigning for BJP’s Jewar MLA Dhirendra Singh, hit out at the Samajwadi Party, which has forged an alliance with the RLD, which is led by Ajit Singh’s son Jayant Choudhary, who passed away last year. “I was reading a statement by Chaudhary Ajit Singh ji, who once remarked: ‘Jis gaadi mein SP ka jhanda, samjho baitha hai koi infamous goon’. This was said by none other than Ajit Singh ji. And when Even when the SP came to power, it turned western UP into a ‘dark zone’,” Adityanath said.

He alleged that the previous SP government had denied power supply to the area and had stopped tubewell connections. As for the Jewar MLA, who is running for another term, Adityanath said the constituency ranks among the top 10 in the state in terms of related development projects since the BJP came to power in UP.

“The airport is being built for Rs 36,000 crore, Film City is for Rs 10,000 crore while investments are also taking place for other projects. The previous governments had invested in making illegal firearms whereas we are building a defense corridor in western UP. This is the difference between them and us.” Describing daughters as goddesses, Adityanath said, “Before 2017 no daughter was safe in western Uttar Pradesh but after 2017 every daughter is safe. At first there will be tension and curfew over small things. By 2017, everyone will suffer.” “But today, there is no curfew, no migration in western Uttar Pradesh. The region has now got Asia’s biggest airport in Jewar and it brings a smile to every face here. Will work towards scattering.”

He also said that the region is getting the biggest medical equipment park and data centers are also being set up in western UP to realize Modi’s dream of Digital India. “The area was infamous for law and order and anarchy was at its peak before 2017, but today an entire film city is being developed here,” he said. Be it development, or law and order, issues of farmers or youth, or welfare schemes. For the poor, the BJP’s “double engine” government has worked for all, Adityanath said while listing figures on his government’s achievements in the state.
