Adivasi Shesh hugged Major Sandeep’s mother for several minutes at the screening of the film Major

Adivasi Shesha’s Major is thriving at the box office. Major is based on the life of Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan and honors the memory of NSG commandos who sacrificed their lives while saving dozens of lives during the 26/11 attacks.

Adivasi Shesha has received many accolades for playing the role of Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan in the biographical action film. The 37-year-old actor is overwhelmed with the love the audience has shown for his film.

Recently, Major Sandeep’s parents also saw the film with Adivasi Shesh at a special screening in Bangalore. In a touching gesture, Major Sandeep’s mother wore the same sari she wore 23 years ago at the screening of the film during her son’s piping ceremony.

It was a very emotional and surreal moment for Adivi to watch the biographical film with Major Sandeep’s parents. At a recent promotional event for the film, Adivasi spoke about the emotional moments he shared with Major Sandeep’s parents.

“Two days before the release, we had premiered in Bangalore. Amma (mother of late Sandeep Unnikrishnan) called me and said 23 years ago I wore this saree for Major Sandeep’s graduation, today I am wearing this saree for you,” said Adivi.

Adivasi also revealed that he hugged Major Sandeep’s mother Dhanalakshmi Unnikrishnan for several minutes. Adivasi Shesh further said, “She showed me the watch she had given to her and she had come to watch the film. I kid you not, the moment I saw him, I hugged him for 4 minutes and I held his hand while watching the movie.

Major has collected around Rs 75 crore at the worldwide box office. The film not only did well India But also in the international market. Major has earned over $1 million in the United States.
