Admission in Karnataka PU from June 9, form soon on www.pue.kar.nic.in

Pre-University College (PUC) classes in Karnataka or Class 11 and Class 12 classes are scheduled to begin from June 9. After two years of online classes, the new session will start in in-person mode. Now the admission process for PUC from various colleges has started.

Those who want to take admission in PUC must note that the cut-off marks criteria for these colleges will be 60 percent. Students who have cleared their SSC result can apply for the same. Not only Karnataka but students who have passed class 10th from other states can also apply for admission in Karnataka Pre-University Course.

Admission to class 11 and 12 or PU 1st and 2nd year in colleges located in Karnataka will be on SSC marks. Admission will be given to the students on the basis of cut off list prepared by the colleges. Soon after the SSC result, the admission process begins in various colleges which make the cut-off list based on the marks obtained by the applicants.

Last year, Seshadripuram PU College had a cut-off of 89 per cent for science course and 86 per cent for commerce. In MES College, the cutoff was 94 per cent for Science and 90 per cent for commerce students.

Karnataka Secondary education The Board of Examinations (KSEEB) has declared the Secondary School Leaving Certificate (SSLC) results 2022, which were declared last week. The pass percentage stood at 85.63 percent. Girls have outperformed boys in Karnataka SSLC Class 10 Result 2022. The pass percentage of girls was 90.29 percent. Whereas for boys it was 81.30 per cent. A total of 8,53,436 students appeared for the class 10 board exams. Out of this, 7,30,881 students have cleared the exam with a great performance. At least 35 marks in each subject are required to clear the exam.

According to BC Nagesh, 22 districts of Karnataka have secured A grade while 2 districts (Bengaluru South and Yadgir) have secured B grade. Also 145 students have secured 625/625 marks. Rural areas of the state have outperformed the performance of students from urban areas as a total of 292946 students passed with 86.64 percent in urban areas, while 428385 students passed with a pass percentage of 91.32 percent. Rural areas, as reported by The Indian Express.

For those who could not clear the exam in the first time, the board will conduct the supplementary exam on June 27. This year, a total of 11,8875 students have secured A+ grades or above 90 percentile.

Meanwhile, Primary and Secondary Education Minister BC Nagesh on Friday announced that the second PUC exam is over and the evaluation is going to start from next week. The results will be declared in the third week of June.
