This comes after the university announced the first cut-off list for undergraduate admissions on October 1. The cut-off percentage is for 10 courses in eight colleges to capture around 70,000 seats.

Guidelines for DU Applications
DU has issued guidelines for admission, which states that a candidate is allowed to choose only one program in the college during a particular cutoff.
The guidelines state, “No change will be allowed in the program college selected during a particular cutoff. The program college can be selected only through the candidate’s own dashboard. Colleges/Universities during the admission process No physical travel is required for this.”

On receipt of the application, colleges verify it along with the uploaded documents for eligibility and meeting the required cut-off.
The verification of documents is done by the colleges in various stages – the program or teacher-in-charge of the respective colleges will verify the minimum qualification and cut-off requirement.
Then the Admission Coordinator re-checks the candidature and accepts or rejects the candidature and finally, the Principal accepts or rejects the candidature.
“In case of lack of required documents, the candidate shall be contacted by the respective college on their registered email id/ phone so that the same can be provided to the college directly. All the college shall designate an email-id for receiving the documents/ clarifications In case the candidate does not respond, or where the documents remain insufficient by the specified date/time, the candidature will be summarily rejected, giving reasons,” as per the guidelines.
The University assured that no application would be left undecided and it would be either accepted or rejected by the Principal of the College (citing the reason).
The guidelines state, “If a candidate is not satisfied with the reason for rejection (as given by the college), a complaint may be lodged with the College Grievance Redressal Committee through e-mail available on the website of the respective college. might.”
Once the candidate has taken admission after paying the fee, they will have to sign an online declaration form stating that the information provided by them is correct.
“If any information provided by me is found to be false and/or not supported by the documents submitted by me, I understand that the admission will be canceled forthwith and no fee will be refunded. I will abide by all the rules and the rules laid down by the University and the College,” read the announcement.
The uploaded documents will be physically verified by the colleges within the stipulated time period as notified by the University.
If at any stage, it is found that the information furnished by the candidate is “wrong/wrong/concocted/simplistic and/or not supported by the documents submitted”, the admission will be canceled forthwith without refund of fee.
Change of Course / Cancellation of Application
Though within a specific cutoff, a candidate is not allowed to change his/her program and college once applied, in subsequent cutoff lists, he/she can apply as an insurance of his/her eligibility and program and college cutoff .
A candidate who had ‘applied’ at any of the cut-offs and for which ‘approved by the Principal’ in a particular program college, but had not paid the fees and wished to take admission at any of the cut-offs, It has to be “cancelled”. His/her already approved application and re-apply for a program college combination and repeat the process. a non-refundable cancellation fee of ₹1,000 will be levied,” the guidelines state.
Candidates who had applied in the cut-off but their application was “rejected” in that cutoff list will be treated as fresh candidate.
The vacant seats for each program in the colleges after the fifth cut-off will be displayed on the university website.
“Candidates who could not take admission in any college of the University during the preceding cut-off for any reason up to the fifth cut-off (including the special cut-off) or canceled their admission and, therefore, were not admitted but fulfill any of the preceding cut-off, shall be considered for admission under the particular drive, provided seats are available in the said category,” the guidelines stated.
Candidates who get admission in any one of the five cutoffs will not be allowed to participate in the special drive.
