A five-year-old girl died of dengue on a hospital bed in front of her parents after walking for more than three hours to get admitted in Uttar Pradesh’s Firozabad. The tragic incident was witnessed by a team of NDTV, who was at the hospital in Firozabad, which has seen a rise in dengue cases.
The girl was reportedly brought to the hospital in Firozabad at 8 am, but was admitted only around noon. The girl was declared brought dead soon after being admitted. The traumatic event – captured on video – shows the moment the news of his death reaches his family.
Dengue cases are increasing rapidly in Firozabad, about 300 km from state capital Lucknow. More than 16 deaths have occurred in the district in the last 48 hours.
