However, the tide soon turned in Mr. Roy’s favor as more and more people started saying that a father’s post celebrating his son’s achievements should not become a pool of negative reviews.

Mr. Roy soon found huge support on the microblogging platform. Many celebrities also congratulated him when his tweet went viral. Among those wishing him were actors Richa Chadha and Shruti Seth, as well as National Award winning lyricist Varun Grover.

While Mr Roy reacted to some negative comments coming his way, he took to Twitter this morning to share his view on people trolling his son. He wrote, “Indeed all those who are making negative comments have no idea how much struggle it takes for a person to get to where he is now.” “It is very easy to condemn but very hard to pass through the grind.”
