New Delhi: The Border Security Force (BSF) has learned prints, along with an intruder from Pakistan in the early hours of Thursday, along with the international border in Punjab.
BSF sources said the incident took place near Lakh Singh Wala Border Outpost (BOP) in Mamdot Block, Ferozpur sector at 2.30 pm.
A BSF official said, “An intruder was trying to infiltrate the border when the BSF Jawans stationed there and warned him to stop. Warning warned him, in his disregard, the BSF jawan shot him,” said a BSF official. Sources further said that his body has been handed over to Ferozpur District Police for further action, which are according to further proceedings.

Hours later, BSF announced a blanket ban on public entry into all joint checkposts, such as Attari, for security. A BSF Punjab Frontier official said that the decision to cancel all the ceremonies in the joint check post would also continue.
It comes after launching India’s Operation Sindoor, as a response to a deadly attack in Pahgam, Jammu and Kashmir on 22 April, the terrorist attacks the terrorist infrastructure in Pakistan and Pakistan -occupied Kashmir (POK).
The attacks by the Indian Air Force and Indian Army teams targeted the camps of MuridK and Lashkar-e-Tabiba and Jaish-e-Mohammed in Bahawalpur respectively.
A BSF personnel, known as Purnam Kumar Shaw, were taken into custody by the Pakistan Rangers Range in the same Ferozepur area last month. Shaw, leading a party of farmers who cultivate crops on both sides of the border, inadvertently crossed the border.
The attempt to secure the release of Shaw by Commandant rank’s BSF field officials has not yet succeeded, and sources said that the current conflict between India and Pakistan has further complicated the efforts.
Separate, BSF, media reports said, a Pakistan Ranger personnel arrested in Sriganganagar area of Rajasthan on Saturday, and a Pakistan National in Gurdaspur area in Punjab on Monday.
