“It was a happy occasion,” said Tej Pratap, “but my car was stopped by young RJD goons. Sunil Singh and Sanjay Yadav were also looking at me strangely. The car was turning around, and I was on my side. Couldn’t reach father.”

Ailing Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) patriarch Lalu Prasad Yadav returned to Bihar after years on Sunday after his elder son Tej Pratap Yadav alleged that he was humiliated at the airport and pushed away from his father by the party’s state president Jagdanand Singh. .

Furious at the humiliation at the airport, Tej Pratap said, “I will take a big step in the coming days. Till Jagdanand Singh is not thrown out of the party, I have nothing to do with RJD.” He further described the party chief as an RSS man.

“It was a happy occasion,” said Tej Pratap, “but my car was stopped by young RJD goons. Sunil Singh and Sanjay Yadav were also looking at me strangely. The car was turning around, and I was on my side. Couldn’t reach father.”

Tej Pratap also staged a sit-in outside his residence, minutes after he accused his opponents of preventing him from spending time with his father, whom he had received at the airport.

The RJD MLA, however, calmed down when Rabri Devi accompanied Prasad to his house. Tej Pratap washed the feet of his father, who remained in the car before driving back.

Later speaking to reporters, Yadav said, “Look how I had decorated my house to welcome my father, who was away from me for a long time because his feudal opponents had framed him.”

Earlier, Yadav threw a fit outside his mother Rabri Devi’s residence after she was stopped from entering her bungalow at 10, Circular Road, where Prasad is returning to the city after three years.

Yadav returned to his home a few hundred meters from his mother’s bungalow, and sat on a dharna with supporters of the “Chhatra Janshakti Parishad” waving flags.

“I am very sad. Jagdanand Singh (RJD state president) is an RSS agent who keeps humiliating me. And I have a warning for my younger brother Tejashwi too,” alleged the stray leader.

“I often say that he (Tejaswi) is like Arjuna and I, like Lord Krishna, am committed to helping him get his due. But she must realize that she is no longer the baby her mother has breastfed. If the party continues to work like this, he will never be able to become the Chief Minister.

The BJP, which is the RJD’s major rival in Bihar, grabbed the opportunity to fish in the waters of crisis. In a statement, BJP OBC Morcha national general secretary and state spokesperson Nikhil Anand linked Tej Pratap Yadav’s “insult” to his ugly marital dispute with wife Aishwarya, whose father Chandrika Roy is now a member of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar’s JD(U). are together.

“The family members who supported Tej Pratap Yadav in humiliating Aishwarya have now turned their backs on him and are treating him as if he is a lunatic. Tej Pratap is politically mature, but despite being the eldest son, he has been sidelined in the party founded by his own father. He could never understand the conspiracy against him,” said Anand.
