The Delhi Police has registered a case of rioting and unlawful assembly against unidentified persons for trying to stop traffic and damage a bus while protesting against the Agneepath Defense Recruitment Scheme, officials said on Friday.
According to police, some youths tried to block traffic on Wazirabad Road near Khajuri Khas flyover to protest against the new scheme of recruiting soldiers on a four-year contract basis.
Police said the windscreen of a bus was damaged by stone-pelting.
After this a team of police reached the spot and removed the accused from the protest site.
A case has been registered at Khajuri Khas police station under IPC sections related to punishment for rioting and unlawful assembly for any common purpose.
