Ahmedabad: The maximum temperature in the city on Sunday was 0.7 degrees below normal at 41 degrees Celsius. At the same time, the minimum temperature was 1.3 degrees higher at 29 degrees Celsius.
The city was the second hottest place after Surendranagar recorded 41.5 degrees Celsius. The only two other cities that recorded more than 40 °C were Bhavnagar (40.8 °C), and Gandhinagar (40.2 °C).
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) forecast said, “There is no major change in the maximum temperature during the next 4-5 days.
With the southwest monsoon reaching Kerala, three days ahead of schedule, citizens of the state expect an early onset of monsoon.
