Kalyani Taturesident of sky lamp Duplex Society Near Shreyas Crossingsaid in her FIR that since her family wanted to visit Singapore, she was searching for an operator on Google on June 17 and found the contact number of an operator named. ronal patel From Thaltej.
When contacted Patel, he told Tatu that he would charge Rs 1.75 lakh for his family members to visit Singapore which would include airfare, visa fee and cost of hotel accommodation.
On 23 June Patel came to Tatu’s house and demanded money from him for the tour. That day he gave her Rs 1.25 lakh. Later, he demanded Rs 1.75 lakh more from him saying that he was in dire need of money.
Tatu gave him money, for which he also signed a notarized agreement, in which Patel promised to return Rs 3.63 lakh to him. Patel had promised him that he would provide tickets to the family for the September 11 journey. But when he checked with the airlines, he found that none of such tickets were confirmed.
Tatu said Patel neither gave him the ticket nor returned the money. He approached the Satellite Police and filed a fraud and betrayal complaint.
