AICTE will soon issue rules for hybrid learning, students will get an option to exit after 2 years

all India technical council education (AICTE) has announced that the rules for hybrid learning will be out soon. Last week, while addressing an event on Hybrid Learning Workshop for college leaders in Bengaluru, AICTE Chairman, Anil Sahasrabuddhe said that the details on infrastructure, do’s and don’ts, faculty training etc. will be determined soon. .

Anil Sahasrabuddhe said that as per the rules, students who drop out of a course after two years will be provided an additional bridge course and a diploma certificate will be awarded. This will open another exit option for the students. As reported by a leading news daily, he said that the council would set up a national educational technology The Forum, which will serve as a platform for all stakeholders to share learning materials with each other.

The AICTE chairman has insisted that colleges should not ignore the main engineering branches. “If everything goes for AI, there will be saturation there too. You should encourage students to take up core subjects as well,” he said, as reported in the news portal. Sahasrabuddhe told students about core subjects. Simultaneously, it is suggested to offer smaller programs in the new age programmes.

Meanwhile, Karnataka State Council of Higher Education Vice-Chairman B Thimme Gowda said, “One of the biggest challenges in introducing hybrid learning will be taking teachers into confidence.” There will be initial reluctance, which will have to be faced, he said.
