AIIMS Delhi server down, suspected ransomware attack puts system on manual mode

It is being told that AIIMS Delhi was working manually since Wednesday morning.

AIIMS said, “The server of e-Hospital of National Informatics Center used at AIIMS, New Delhi was down today, affecting outpatient and inpatient digital hospital services including smart lab, billing, report generation, appointment system etc.” Huh.” a statement.

The hospital said that all these services are currently running on manual mode. National Informatics Center (NIC) team working at AIIMS has informed that it could be a ransomware attack which is being reported and will be investigated by appropriate law enforcement authorities.

“Measures are being taken to restore digital services and support is being sought from Indian Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT-In) and National Informatics Center (NIC),” the hospital said.

AIIMS and NIC will take appropriate precautions to prevent such attacks in future. Till 7.30 pm, the hospital services are running on manual mode, it added in a statement.
