Air India Express flight landed in position at Kochi airport

Kochi:

An Air India Express flight coming from Sharjah had to land at the China International Airport here on Sunday due to traffic jam. It is suspected that the ‘hydraulics’ of the aircraft had stopped working.

A spokesperson of the Cochin International Airport Limited (CIL) said a full accident was declared at the airport at 8.44 pm and the aircraft landed safely at 8.26 pm.

He said that no runway was blocked and no flight was diverted. Purohit said the shutter order was withdrawn at 8.36 pm and air operations were declared normal. CIAL said all 193 passengers and six crew members on board the aircraft are safe.
