Air India will use META’s digital platform called Workplace to connect with its over 11,000 employees. The airline, under the Tata Group, expects its latest move to provide Air Indiaemployees with a platform that promotes more open communication and information sharing within all levels of the organization.
“Air India today announced that it has selected Workplace from META to connect and engage with its over 11,000 employees,” the airline said in a joint statement on Tuesday.
The platform is expected to break through organizational silos, reduce legacy hierarchies and boost employee engagement across time zones and geographies.
After several decades of being a government-run company, the airline is getting deeply absorbed in the Tata group.
Air India’s Chief Digital and Technology Officer Satya Ramaswamy said on Tuesday, “Such a transformation of our iconic airline requires constant communication and collaboration among our diverse employee base which contributes to organizational alignment in support of our transformation agenda. gives.”
The move will especially help pilots and cabin crew who do not visit the physical office often. The newly launched platform will enable better and proactive engagement with its diverse group of pilots and staff from cabin crew, engineers, commercial experts, information technologists, ground handling experts and others across the globe.
