Airtel, Nokia partner to bring holographic technology to boost virtual tourism

Airtel and Nokia partnered to bring India’s first 5G enabled immersive experience to visitors at the Indian Mobile Congress (IMC) 2022.

Airtel and Nokia will showcase the benefits of vibrant and low latency 5G networks through holographic images to capture the cultural splendor of the Kashi Vishwanath Temple and the Statue of Unity, the companies said in a statement on Saturday.

An almost life like hologram, imitating the physical experience, will bring to life the architecture and design of these iconic monuments and temples.

“With the advent of 5G, immersive virtual tourism is expected to help restart the travel and tourism industry, where people will be able to visit remote places and monuments from the comfort of their homes,” the companies said.
