Akhilesh Yadav’s chopper delayed due to high air traffic: Airport official

Samajwadi Party President Akhilesh Yadav’s helicopter after it was allegedly stopped from taking off at an airport in New Delhi.

Responding to Samajwadi Party (SP) chief Akhilesh Yadav’s allegation, the Delhi airport official on Friday said that his chopper for Muzaffarnagar was delayed due to high air traffic.

“Akhilesh Yadav’s chopper was initially not allowed to take off by Air Traffic Control (ATC) due to high air traffic. After being cleared, the helicopter had low fuel. After refueling, the helicopter landed at the designated location. But took off,” said one. Delhi airport officials. Akhilesh Yadav alleged that his helicopter was stopped at Delhi airport without any reason. Akhilesh Yadav reached Delhi by commercial plane from Lucknow and had to travel by helicopter to attend a joint press conference with Rashtriya Lok Dal (RLD) chief Jayant Choudhary on his way to Muzaffarnagar from Delhi.

The SP chief alleged that his chopper was not allowed to fly from Delhi to Muzaffarnagar as the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) was “disappointed”. Akhilesh also claimed that a BJP leader was allowed to take off from the same airport when he was stopped. Yadav said on Twitter, “My helicopter is still under custody in Delhi without any reason and is not being allowed to go to Muzaffarnagar. While a top BJP leader has taken off from here. It is a desperate attempt to lose the BJP. There’s a conspiracy.” People are understanding everything…”

Before the Uttar Pradesh assembly elections, a joint press conference of Akhilesh Yadav and Jayant Chaudhary was called in Muzaffarnagar. Voting for 403 assembly seats in Uttar Pradesh will begin in seven phases from February 10. Voting in Uttar Pradesh will be held in seven phases on February 10, 14, 20, 23, 27 and March 3 and 7. The counting of votes will take place on March 10.
