Amid a slight drop in Karnataka Covid-19 cases, the state government on Saturday announced the reopening of schools for all classes and colleges in Bangalore from Monday, January 31. Speaking to the media, Karnataka Education Minister BC Nagesh announced the reopening of schools and urged colleges and authorities to insist on strict adherence to COVID-19 protocols during offline classes. The decision has come after a meeting with the COVID 19 Technical Advisory Committee.

The reopening of the school is being considered as the board exams are approaching. Karnataka will conduct the board exams from March 28. Schools have been closed, however, classes have been conducted in online mode.
