Allu Arjun does ‘Pushpa’ move in New York, Mayor joins

Telugu star Allu Arjun recently participated in the 40th Annual India Day Parade in New York, where he was invited as the Grand Marshal. The actor also met the Mayor of New York City during the event and shared some glimpses on social media.

In the pictures shared by him, Allu Arjun can be seen receiving a “Certificate of Recognition” from Mayor Eric Adams, as well as both donning the actor’s iconic move from his 2021 film. Pushpa: Uday, In one of the photos, the actor is seen stroking his beard and teaching gestures to the mayor.

The actor posted a picture of the certificate which read, “The City of New York Certificate of Recognition.”

Allu Arjun wrote on Twitter, “Pleasant to meet the Mayor of New York City. Very sporty gentleman. Thanks for the respect Mr. Eric Adams. Thgede le,” Allu Arjun wrote on Twitter.

The annual India Day Parade was organized by Federation of Indian Associations to commemorate 75 years of independent India.

Allu Arjun represented India in this program and hoisted the tricolor in the program. He also shared a clip of the parade on his Instagram stories, in which a large number of people are seen gathering for the event. “It was an honor to be the Grand Marshal at the India Day Parade in NYC,” the text on the video read. In another clip, Allu Arjun was seen shaking his fans’ hand from the sunroof of a car.

The actor’s photograph was also displayed on a screen in New York’s Times Square. He shared a video of him standing near the big screen and wrote, “Moments of fun in Times Square.”
