New Delhi: After green energy, Ambani And Adani Group Now there’s another field in the race to become number one – civilian-use drones. While both of them have a major presence in the drones of the defense side, officials from these groups, which participated in the Drone Festival in Delhi last week, now spoke of expanding to the civilian side.
“We will expand into all sectors like Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM), services and analytics using cloud-based platforms. We aim to be the largest OEM in India. As of now, we have a manufacturing center in Bengaluru and soon There will be maintenance centers across India,” Behold VartikiCo-Founder and Director asteria Aerospace, which is a subsidiary of Reliance Industries’ Jio Platforms, told TOI. Asteria Aerospace signed an MoU with India’s largest Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) pilot training company – Drone Destination – to meet its requirement of licensed drone operators.

Last Friday, Adani Defense Systems and Technologies (ADSTL) announced that it would acquire 50% stake in Bengaluru-based commercial drone player General Aeronautics to provide “end-to-end solutions for the domestic agriculture sector”. And last month, Adani-Elbit Advanced Systems India, a joint venture of the Adani Group and an Israeli company, was one of 14 beneficiaries under the government’s Product-Linked Incentive (PLI) scheme to manufacture drones and drone components.
“When we entered the defense UAV side in 2018, we brought the largest Hermes 900 multi-role, medium altitude long endurance (MALE) drone (made by Israeli partner Elbit Systems) in 2018. Now as we move onto the civilian side When we enter, we will grow by both organic and inorganic methods, said the Wadhawans of the Adani Group.
