Amit Shah asks police to monitor demographic changes in border areas

Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Thursday urged the police chiefs of border states to monitor the demographic changes taking place in the border areas. to address National Security Strategies (NSS) Conference 2022, in which top officials of the country’s police forces participate, Shah also said that it was the responsibility of Director Generals of Police (DGPs) to collect all technical and strategic information in their states, especially in the state. border districts.

The Home Minister further said that since becoming the Prime Minister in 2014, Narendra Modi has not only emphasized on the internal security of the country, but has also strengthened the mechanism to meet the challenges.

He said that the states should give top priority to the issues related to national security as it is a fight for the future of the country and the youth, for which everyone has to come together and win at any cost.

Shah said that in the field of internal security, the government has achieved great success in tackling terrorism in Jammu and Kashmir, various extremist groups in the Northeast and Left Wing Extremism.

Shah’s statement came after the Home Ministry issued a clarification on the resettlement of Rohingya refugees in Delhi.

“Illegal foreigners are to be kept in detention centers till their deportation as per law. The Delhi government has not declared the present location as the detention centre. They have been directed to do so immediately, the MHA said in a tweet on Wednesday,” the ministry further clarified.

Union Minister Hardeep Singh Puri’s statement said that he will soon be shifted to the EWS apartment in Bakkarwala, Outer Delhi. After which the Union Home Ministry gave clarification.
