Amit Shah to visit Assam tomorrow, security tightened in Guwahati

Amit Shah will reach Assam on a one-day visit on May 25 to attend a program in Guwahati.

Tight security arrangements have been made in the state capital as Union minister Amit Shah is scheduled to visit Assam’s Guwahati on Thursday, officials said on Tuesday.

Officials said Amit Shah will visit Assam on May 25 on a day-long visit to attend an event in Guwahati, where the Assam government will distribute around 45,000 appointment letters to newly recruited candidates of various government departments.

To fulfill its commitment of providing 1 lakh government jobs, the Assam government will distribute appointment letters to 44,703 successful candidates on May 25.

The state government has organized a program to distribute appointment letters at Veterinary College Field, Khanapara, Guwahati, in which Union Home Minister Amit Shah will be present.

Assam Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma said in a press conference held in Guwahati on Tuesday that appointment letters were to be distributed to 44703 successful candidates during the programme.

Himanta Biswa Sarma said, “Union Home Minister Amit Shah will be present at the event. The Union Home Minister will also lay the foundation stone of the National Forensic Science University on the same day.”

The Chief Minister of Assam also said that, in July this year the state government will publish additional advertisement for 22765 posts in the state government.
