Amity University partners with TCS to offer distance internship to BCA, MCA students

Amity University has partnered with Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) iON, a strategic business arm of TCS, to provide distance internships to students. It aims to help students of BCA and MCA programs become industry ready with expertise in cloud and security, data analytics, augmented reality and virtual reality, machine learning.

“In these programs assured distance internship will be provided to BCA students in semesters four and six and MCA students in semester three. Placement assistance will be given in the final semester of BCA and MCA programme,” read the press release from the university.

“The partnership is aimed and designed to train and skill the young talent pool to be ‘industry ready’. Every aspirant of Amity University Online will have access to mentors from the industry. Existing BCA and MCA students will also have the opportunity to pursue these specializations. This will help aspirants gain knowledge and skills for the global market by leveraging TCS ION’s digital platform and learning about industry best practices.”

Under this partnership, Amity students will gain access to TCS ION’s digital learning resources such as live lectures by industry professionals, an academic connect community as well as an industry connect community.

The university said that this partnership will enhance career readiness and employability through on-the-job experience gained through distance internships and also provide placement opportunities with over 500 corporates. In addition, students will be awarded a certificate from TCS ION upon successful completion of the course and earn academic credit for their degree program.
